ALEXANDRE PIQUET
Founder and Managing Partner

Mr. Alexandre Piquet obtained his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. He graduated with honors as Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review and his achievements include Dean’s List and Best Student Awards, among others. Mr. Piquet also holds a Law Degree from Milton Campos School of Law in Brazil with Merit Honors and obtained specialization in International Comparative Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain.

Mr. Piquet has over ten years of legal experience working with clients who conduct business outside of their home country. Mr. Piquet structures his work ethic around assuring that all of his clients feel comfortable conducting business in unfamiliar territory. If it is a foreign client purchasing property or conducting legal matters in the United States or a United States client wishing to conduct business out of the country, Mr. Piquet focuses on providing a standard level of comfort and unlimited solutions for all of his clients' concerns.

In addition, Mr. Piquet has assisted clients from all over the world and has worked at some of the most prestigious law firms and Real Estate Brokerage firms in Miami. Mr. Piquet travels internationally to personally meet with clients who are looking to purchase property outside of their home country. Mr. Piquet informs each client of the advantages of incorporating companies, purchasing properties, and obtaining visas in foreign countries.

A Brazilian-American born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mr. Piquet is fluent in three languages; Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

BRIAN D. STRINGER
Partner

Mr. Stringer holds a Master of Laws in Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law. He earned a Juris Doctor from Saint Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. During law school, Mr. Stringer was named to the Dean’s List and served on the Moot Court Board. Mr. Stringer also holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Sociology from Florida International University.

Mr. Stringer represents a wide range of corporate and individual clients in business and real estate matters. Whether the client is a corporation seeking advice on a merger and acquisition or an individual purchasing real estate for, Mr. Stringer carefully counsels the client to fully understand their particular needs and assists them in accomplishing their goals.

Mr. Stringer is also an experienced litigator with extensive knowledge in civil litigation. He has litigated Business and Real Estate matters for domestic and international clients with legal concerns in Florida. Mr. Stringer uses his litigation experience to identify aspects of a particular transaction that are most prone to contention and constructs agreements that are specifically designed to avoid litigation.

ELENICE PORTZ

Associate Attorney

Elenice Portz earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. She is admitted to the Florida Bar and to the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida. Ms. Portz also holds a law degree in Brazil and is admitted to the Brazilian Bar Association. During Law School, Ms. Portz did an internship with the City of Miami Attorney’s Office. Before joining Piquet Law Firm, Ms. Portz worked as a litigation associate in a prestigious litigation Firm in Miami. Ms. Portz is experienced in contracts review, international business transactions, corporate law, real estate law, and business immigration. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and is conversational in German.

ADAM J. GERSTEN
Of Counsel

Mr. Adam Gersten earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. Throughout law school, Mr. Gersten excelled in his courses and received top honors for Real Estate Development and Finance, Contracts and Real Property. In addition to studying abroad in Romania, Mr. Gersten lived in Tokyo, Japan and conducted AML practices for foreign Real Estate markets.

Mr. Gersten is a fourth generation, Miami-Dade attorney and possesses an extensive knowledge of Litigation and Trial experience. He has worked with Florida’s Third District Appellate Court and The 11^th and 16^th Judicial State Attorney’s offices.

Mr. Gersten represents clients in the areas of Criminal, Person Injury, and Family law. His involvement details drafting pleadings, motions, and settlement demand packages and litigating cases on behalf of clients.

JANINI ALMEIDA
Corporate Paralegal

Mrs. Almeida was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and she has been living in Florida since 1990.

Mrs. Almeida overlooks Piquet Law Firm's Corporate Department. Under the supervision of a staffed attorney, Mrs. Almeida assures that all corporations are formed according to state laws. Whether it is a foreign or domestic client purchasing property or incorporating for personal reasons, Mrs. Almeida walks the client through the entire incorporation process, from beginning to end, and answers all questions that the client may have while forming their corporation.

Mrs. Almeida has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and has over fifteen years of experience in Immigration Law. Mrs. Almeida is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

MIRIAM BENITEZ
Real Estate Paralegal

Mrs. Benitez was born in Havana, Cuba. Mrs. Benitez studied at Florida International University and obtained her Paralegal Certification and Title Insurance Agent License.

With more than 25 years of experience in Real Estate transactions, title examination and corporate matters, Mrs. Benitez assists with all matters of Piquet Law Firm's Real Estate department. Under direct attorney supervision, Mrs. Benitez works with clients, bankers, attorneys, Real Estate Agents etc., during every step of the closing process. From drafting CPL's to preparing HUD statements, Mrs. Benitez works to assure a speedy turnaround for each closing which is beneficial for all parties involved in the closing process.

Mrs. Benitez is a notary in the State of Florida and fluent in both English and Spanish.

TATIANA SARMINA

Russian Of Counsel

Ms. Tatiana Sarmina graduated from Florida International University in Miami, Florida with a B.S. in Communication. Before going to law school, Ms. Sarmina worked as a paralegal and law clerk for over nine years in law firms in Miami where she gained invaluable experience in naturalization, business and family immigration.

Ms. Sarmina obtained her Juris Doctorate from Saint Thomas University. Her achievements include Dean’s List and Best Student Awards among others. In 2009, Ms. Sarmina studied in Madrid, Spain as part of Study abroad program. While attending law school, Ms. Sarmina clerked for the 11^th Judicial Circuit and 17^th Judicial Circuit.

Ms. Sarmina also worked as a litigation associate in Ft. Lauderdale firms handling various real estate and personal injury matters.
